Dressmaker / Couturier, Melissa Waite specialises in custom made, unique wedding dresses, using exquisite fabrics and laces sourced nationally and internationally.

Melissa has over 27 years experience in dressmaking and the construction of designer garments.

​

After studying Fashion Technology, Melissa attended NIDA for two years completing the Costume Making course in 1996. After completing her studies, Melissa worked in the film, theatre and television industry for 11 years with some of Sydney's best costume makers, cutters and designers.

In 2007, Melissa commenced working in the bridal industry with established designers in Sydney and Newcastle. It was this experience that led to the creation of 'Melissa Waite Couture'

Melissa focuses on bringing her years of experience to deliver hand made and fitted couture weddings dresses to the brides of the Newcastle and Hunter Valley.
